HOW THE DOODLE SWEETHEARTS ADOPTION PROCESS WORKS

When all your questions are answered and you decide to adopt a Doodle Sweetheart puppy, please fill out our
application form on our "Contact Us" page. Let us know which litter or litters interest you as well as all the things
you want with color, coat, gender, size, etc.
We review all your information and will communicate with you about what you are looking for to ensure we
understand your wishes and desires for a puppy.
In order to hold a spot on our waiting list, we require a non-refundable deposit of $250.00. Send a deposit to
reserve a puppy from the litter you are interested in. This amount will be deducted from the purchase price of
will also set a tentative date (usually a Saturday) for choosing your puppy. If you are one of the first in line to
choose, kindly consider the people after you who are waiting to choose and make time in your schedule to come
first thing in the morning on that day if possible. (choosing may also be done by photos if the distance doesn't
allow you to come visit)
DNA testing done at 3-4 weeks of age, to test for shedding. This is done with a cheek swab which
then gets mailed to Paw Print Genetics and takes 2 weeks to get the results back.
Review the information on our website to prepare for your puppy. If you plan to feed your puppy what we
recommend: TLC Natural Life Pet Food, it would be good to get it ordered so you have it when your puppy comes
Vet health check & 1st vaccination around 7 weeks of age.
Arrangements can be made to visit the litter of puppies you are getting a puppy from, after we have received the
DNA results, around 6 weeks of age.
Doodle Sweethearts reserves the right to keep back two puppies from every litter as potential breeding dogs
for our program.
When the puppies are 8 weeks of age the final payment for puppy is due.
Puppies are ready for pick up after they are 8 weeks of age, and if we are shipping to you that date will be
scheduled when pups are born and they will be sent between 8 and 12 weeks of age, depending on the airline

Puppies are to be picked up or shipped no later than 9 weeks. If you are not able to take your puppy at that time
there will be a $50 per week boarding charge.
WHEN SENDING US AN APPLICATION PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE DONE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Reviewed our Adoption Information page with all the details about our non refundable deposit, the puppy
fee, shipping fee, and how our adoption process works.
2. Considered the litter options we have available now or coming available soon and let us know with as much
detail as possible what you are looking for, and what litters interest you.
AFTER SENDING THE APPLICATION:
1. We will reply to your email and confirm with you what it is you are wanting and confirm availability.
2. You will need to submit the $250.00 deposit to reserve a puppy from the litter you are interested in. Please
be aware that availability can change quickly as applications are submitted all the time and reservations for a
puppy will be held when a deposit is made. Many families want to ensure their reservation and will send the
deposit at the same time as the application.
3. To do so, you may send payment by E-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org, or you may send a
cheque made out to Stephanie Huber (not Doodle Sweethearts) and mail to: 6492 Sideroad 6 RR 3, Listowel, ON
NOTE: Please understand that if you mail a cheque, the time that it takes for a cheque to arrive here, someone else
may easily send an e-transfer in the meantime and therefore be next in line to choose a puppy before you. Picking
order is given in the order we "receive" the deposit.
